Cumin Seeds

Cumin has been in use since ancient times. It is one of the medical plants from parsley origin. It has been cultivated in Syria ages ago. Babylonian and Assyrian doctors used cumin in their medicine recipes. Ancient civilizations have used cumin for a variety of purposes. The Romans and the Greeks regarded cumin as one of the essential spices. The Egyptians, for their part, used cumin in the process of mummifying dead people. Ground Cumin

Ground Cumin can be brought in most stores. It has a very intense nutty flavor. It should be stored in airtight bottles away from heat and sunlight. Ground Cumin does not store as well as cumin seeds and you can keep them up to 6 to 8 weeks. Later on, the ground begins to lose its flavor and aroma and thus becomes quite useless as a spice. One of the advantages of ground cumin is that it can be used for flavoring soups and curries and a bit of ground cumin is enough for a dish. To get a very fine powdery texture, Burj Commodities Trading DMCC has the finest grinding specifications for it. Nigella Seeds
