FISS (Federation of Indian Spice Stakeholders) Spice meet and crop survey 2nd & 3rd March 2019

Focusing on crops survey of main Indian spices, and the needs of EU and USA markets, from Indian suppliers was the major topics of discussion during the FISS crop and Survey convention 2019 at Jaipur.

The conference covered in details topics  like crops harvesting situation and carry over of each spice,  size of planted area, and many valued information, beside the rule of NCDEX and APMC, in facilitating the trade environment, beside increasing the knowledge of Indian farmers about the procedures to be taken eliminate the obstacles against expanding business including stopping the action of some traders of blending of spices of expensive spices with cheaper one, which effected the reputation of Indian exporters, and the procedure to be taken and be handled to reach isolation and stopping it,

In addition, the transformation in Agriculture, Collaboration amongst the different stakeholders, Challenges and Opportunities of Organic spices, How to handle Allergens in spices and the crops and markets which covered the demand and supply situation for the major spices across different geographies.

With the boundaries of the nation’s steadily fading, the cultures of the world gradually merging and the flavours constantly evolving, the global spices industry is faced with the challenge of meeting continuously changing consumer needs. Moreover, rapidly advancing digital solutions have changed the way business is conducted the world over, with more efficient ways of distribution compelling governments to intervene with new rules and regulations. The convention examined these changes with the prominent stakeholders of the spice business, giving deeper insight through talks and interactions. The intent was to closely evaluate these changes and find ways to effectively adapt our value chain to these changes.

World Economic Forum is calling this rapid changes the Fourth Industrial revolution characterised by massive adaptation of Digital technologies and innovation in everything from energy to life sciences.
The event included awarding top exporters of different spices, of 2018 , beside many entertainment activities including dancing and singing shows.
